At Magical Trips, we believe travel planning should be personal, professional, and relationship-driven. The Magical Trips Team is a collaborative group of independent travel professionals affiliated with Trevello, one of Canada’s largest host travel networks. While each advisor operates their own independent business, we work together as a supportive team, sharing knowledge, experience, and industry connections to better serve our clients.
Since 2009, Magical Trips has focused on creating meaningful travel experiences while combining the personalized service of a boutique agency with the buying power, partnerships, and support of a large national network.
Our professional travel planning businesses operate with low overhead thanks to our mobile office model. This allows us to remain agile, resilient, and accessible, even during times of uncertainty within the travel industry. Rather than investing in expensive storefronts, we invest in relationships, ongoing training, industry events, technology, and the client experience itself.
Our team includes advisors with a wide range of specialties and firsthand travel experience, allowing us to match clients with the right expert for their travel style and travel goals. Whether planning a family vacation, luxury escape, group getaway, expedition voyage, river cruise, celebration travel experience, or once-in-a-lifetime adventure, our goal is to provide trusted guidance and personalized support throughout your journey.

• Supplier-Direct Payments
In nearly all cases, your payment is made directly to the travel supplier, such as the cruise line, tour operator, or resort. We typically do not hold client funds, helping provide an added layer of security and transparency.
• Full Transparency
In the rare event we do need to temporarily process or hold funds to facilitate a booking, we will always communicate this clearly in advance so you can make an informed decision.

🤝 Travel Counsellor Service Disclosure
When you request a travel quote, itinerary, consultation, or research, your Travel Counsellor invests professional time, expertise, industry relationships, and resources on your behalf, whether or not a separate service or planning fee is charged.
To help ensure the best possible experience and avoid duplicated work or conflicting information, we kindly ask that you work with one Magical Trips Team member for each inquiry. If you wish to switch advisors, simply let the new advisor know you have already been working with someone so we can ensure a smooth transition.
If you are already working with another travel advisor outside of our team, we appreciate you letting us know upfront so expectations remain clear and any applicable service fees can be discussed before work begins.
Transparency and communication help us provide the highest level of service while ensuring our advisors are properly supported for the work they do.
🗨️ Complimentary Consultation
At Magical Trips, your journey begins with a complimentary consultation, a personalized conversation where we learn about your travel preferences, priorities, budget, and wish list. This is your opportunity to share your vision for your vacation and our opportunity to determine how we can best assist you.
By engaging in a consultation, you are formally asking us to begin working on your behalf as your trusted Travel Advisor. This includes research, applying our professional expertise, and preparing thoughtful vacation options tailored to your needs.
💡 How We’re Compensated
For many vacations, there is no additional fee for our planning services. In most cases, we are compensated by travel suppliers after you travel, and those commissions are typically already built into the pricing whether you book online, directly with the supplier, or through a Travel Advisor.
Choosing to book through Magical Trips means you receive professional guidance, personalized support, industry expertise, and added value throughout the planning process, often at no additional cost.
💳 Professional Planning & Service Fees
Certain vacations, requests, or service situations may require additional professional planning or administrative fees. Any applicable fees will always be discussed before work begins or bookings are confirmed.
🗂️ Consulting & Research Fees: Starting at $150 + tax
Typically our complimentary consultation includes up to three custom vacation options for most standard travel requests. However, more complex or time-intensive travel planning may require a Consulting & Research Fee.
Examples may include:
• Multi-destination itineraries
• Large group or multi-generational travel
• Customized luxury or adventure travel
• Extensive revisions or specialized research requests
These fees compensate advisors for the significant time, research, expertise, and itinerary planning involved and are non-refundable once work has commenced.
✈️ Air Ticketing Fees: Starting at $50 + tax per person
Flight bookings require significant time, monitoring, coordination, and ongoing support while typically providing little or no supplier compensation.
Air Ticketing Fees may include assistance with:
• Researching and comparing flight options
• Booking and managing air reservations
• Seating and baggage coordination
• Schedule changes and disruption support
• Itinerary management and flight guidance
Please note that if we are asked to assist with flights booked independently or directly with an airline, this fee still applies.
💳 Multiple Payment & Administrative Fees
There is typically no fee for processing your initial deposit or final payment. In many situations, automatic payment schedules can also be arranged at no additional charge when set up during the booking process.
However, customized payment arrangements, multiple manual payments, or additional administrative requests may require an additional service fee depending on the complexity of the request.
🔁 Client Shopping Fee: $100 + tax
While most Canadian travel professionals have access to similar suppliers and pricing, requesting quotes from multiple advisors for the same trip can create unnecessary duplication of work, impact supplier inventory, and artificially affect pricing or availability.
To help protect the value of our advisors’ time and expertise, a Client Shopping Fee may apply in situations where multiple advisors are knowingly asked to work on the same travel request simultaneously.
If more than one Magical Trips Team member is asked to work on the same request without disclosure, the fee may be applied by each advisor involved.
Should you ultimately choose to book with us, your advisor may choose to apply this fee toward your final vacation balance.
❌ Cancellation Fee: $150 + tax
Due to the increased administrative workload associated with cancellations and post-pandemic travel disruptions, a Cancellation Fee may apply in the event a client cancels their booking.
This fee applies:
• Per room for cruise bookings
• Per booking for other travel arrangements
This fee helps compensate advisors for the significant time already invested in planning, booking management, supplier communication, documentation, and cancellation processing. Supplier cancellation penalties and fees may still apply separately.
