🗨️ Complimentary Consultation – What It Includes and What It Means

At Magical Trips, your journey begins with a Complimentary Consultation—a personalized conversation where we learn about your travel preferences, budget, and wish list. This is your opportunity to share your vision for the trip, and our opportunity to assess how we can best assist you.

By engaging in a consultation, you are formally asking us to begin working on your behalf as your trusted Travel Advisor. This includes research, applying our expertise, and preparing thoughtful vacation options based on your needs.


✅ What’s Included:

  • A one-on-one conversation to clarify your travel goals 
  • Our professional guidance and supplier recommendations 
  • Up to three custom vacation options based on your criteria 
  • An outline of any applicable fees, if necessary, before moving forward


We deeply value our time and the time of our clients. Our goal is to build a long-term relationship, not to compete with other advisors for the same trip request. If you're still in the process of deciding whether to work with us and intend to compare offers from multiple sources, we ask that you let us know in advance. In those situations, our Client Shopping Fee will apply (see above for details).


💡 How We’re Compensated

For most vacations, you pay no additional fee for our planning services. We are compensated by the travel suppliers after you travel—and these commissions are already built into the pricing whether you book online, directly, or through an advisor.

Choosing to have us reserve you vacation means you will receive expert advice, added value, and personalized care—at no extra cost in most cases. 

💳 When Fees May Apply


🗂️ Consulting Fee – Starting at $150 + tax

Our complimentary consultation includes up to three custom vacation options for most standard requests.

However, for complex or time-intensive proposals, a Consulting Fee starting at $150 + tax may apply. 

This includes:

  • Multi-destination itineraries 
  • Large group or multi-generational travel 
  • Customized luxury or adventure trips 

This fee will be explained in advance and is non-refundable, covering the extensive time and research required for intricate travel planning.


✈️ Air Ticketing Fee – starting at $25 + tax per person

This fee applies to all flight bookings. (Flights take a lot of time and provide little to no compensation, the exact fee could vary depending on segments, you will be advised)

It covers:

  • Researching and comparing flights 
  • Booking and managing changes 
  • Assistance with seating, baggage, and itinerary coordination 
  • Monitoring for travel disruptions

Please note if we are asked to assist with flights you booked direct, we still charge this fee.

 

💳 Multiple Payment Fee – Varies by Request

There is no fee for processing your initial deposit or final balance. In many cases, there is also no charge to set up automatic payments, especially when scheduled at the time of booking.

However, if you request multiple manual payments or need us to process payments at varied intervals on your behalf, a service fee may apply. This fee reflects the additional time and administrative work involved in managing customized payment schedules.

Please speak with your advisor for more details. They’ll be happy to outline any applicable fees based on your specific needs. 

🔁 Client Shopping Fee – $100 + tax

We understand that choosing a travel advisor is a personal decision. While most Canadian travel professionals access the same suppliers and pricing, some clients request quotes from multiple advisors. 

Unfortunately, when several advisors work on the same trip request, it can:

  • Artificially inflate demand 
  • Cause suppliers to increase pricing or restrict promotions 
  • Impact availability for other clients

To maintain fairness and uphold the value of our time, we charge a Client Shopping Fee of $100 + tax in these situations.

Note: If more than one Magical Trips Team member is asked to work on the same trip without disclosure, the fee will be automatically applied by each advisor involved.
Should you choose to book with us, your advisor may choose to credit the fee toward your final vacation balance—please ask for details.

❌ Cancellation Fee – $100 + tax

Due to increased disruptions since the pandemic, we have introduced a $100 + tax cancellation fee, which applies:

  • Per room for cruise bookings 
  • Per booking for other travel arrangements 

This fee helps cover the time and administrative work already invested, as suppliers do not compensate us if a trip is canceled.

This cancellation fee is in addition to any supplier-imposed penalties.

We're committed to transparency, fairness, and exceptional service. All fees will be clearly discussed before confirming your booking.

The Magical Trips Team of Independent Travel Businesses is committed to providing transparent, professional travel services. Please review the following terms and conditions carefully before proceeding with your booking. By engaging our services and submitting your Travel Authorization Form, you agree to the terms outlined below.


💼 Professional Planning Fees

All Professional Planning Fees collected by our team of Independent Contractors (ICs) are 100% non-refundable. These fees compensate for the time, expertise, and effort invested in assisting with your travel planning, regardless of whether the trip proceeds.


❌ Cancellation Policy

If your trip is cancelled—for any reason—please note:

  • Professional Planning Fees are non-refundable, even in the event of cancellation 
  • Cancellations often require additional administrative work 
  • We will do our best to advocate for you in the event of a supplier dispute
     

In the rare case of a legal action or credit card chargeback initiated against a supplier, and our planning fees are refunded during that process, those fees will still be owed in full to Magical Trips.

💡 Important: All other vacation payments made directly to travel suppliers are subject to that supplier’s cancellation policy, which you are responsible for reviewing before booking.

If you initiate a chargeback and a Magical Trips Team Member or Leader is billed for the cost of your trip, they reserve the right to pursue legal action to recover those funds. They are not financially responsible if you feel a refund should have been issued by the supplier and was not.

If your cancellation is due to a reason covered by your insurance, you must contact your insurance provider immediately to begin the claims process.


📃 Supplier Terms & Conditions

It is your responsibility to read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions of each travel supplier prior to confirming any booking. These terms include, but are not limited to:

  • Cancellation penalties 
  • Changes or modifications 
  • Travel and documentation requirements 
  • Refund eligibility
     

🛡️ Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, which may include:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption 
  • Emergency medical and evacuation coverage 
  • Lost, delayed, or damaged baggage protection 

Please note: Vacation packages booked through our team do not include travel insurance by default. If you choose to travel without insurance, you do so at your own risk and assume full financial responsibility for any unforeseen events.
Our Professional Planning Fees may be claimable under some insurance policies. Please speak with a licensed Insurance Advisor to ensure your coverage meets your needs.

Not all Travel Counsellors are licensed to sell travel insurance. If your counsellor has not provided you with options, you can click here to get a quote or call the phone number listed on that page to speak directly with a licensed insurance advisor who can answer your questions and help find the right coverage for your needs.

It is your responsibility to stay informed using the Government of Canada Travel Website and monitor:

  • Travel advisories and alerts 
  • Entry and exit requirements 
  • Vaccination and health regulations 
  • Destination-specific safety guidance

Check these details before booking and prior to departure, as conditions may change.


✈️ Be a Smart Traveller

Our team serves as professional travel consultants. We provide expert advice, recommendations, and booking support—but we do not own or operate any of the travel services arranged.

We are not responsible for:

  • Airlines 
  • Cruise lines 
  • Resorts or hotels 
  • Tour operators 
  • Insurance providers 
  • Destination authorities
     

As such, we are not liable for service interruptions, supplier policy changes, delays, denied entry, in-destination issues, or financial losses. All travel arrangements are subject to the supplier’s own terms and conditions.
 

We are typically not paid directly by you—we are compensated by travel suppliers after travel is completed. If your trip is cancelled or changed, we may not be paid for the time and work already provided.

🧳 Your Responsibilities as a Smart Traveller

To protect your travel investment, you are responsible for:

  • 🔍 Reviewing all supplier terms and government advisories 
  • 🛂 Ensuring you have valid travel documentation (passports, visas, etc.) 
  • 🛡️ Securing appropriate travel insurance 
  • 🌍 Following health, safety, and legal guidelines in destination 
  • 🧠 Taking reasonable steps to protect yourself and your belongings
     

We will guide you through the process, but we cannot guarantee your personal safety or wellbeing while in destination. Travel involves inherent risks, and you must exercise caution, follow local laws, and make responsible decisions while abroad.


🧾 Independent Business Disclaimer

With the exception of Jaime Murphy, who serves as a mentor, no other advisors are employed by or legally affiliated with Magical Trips Inc.


Other advisors may use shared branding or marketing tools, but they operate as independent contractors under the broader Trevello Travel Network. Magical Trips Inc. is not liable for any actions, advice, financial transactions, or services provided by other advisors.


If you are working with an advisor other than Jaime Murphy, please direct all payments, communications, and concerns to that advisor directly. Magical Trips Inc. is unable to intervene or assume responsibility for any bookings not handled by Jaime Murphy.
 

⚠️ General Liability Disclaimer

Magical Trips Inc., nor the independent Travel Business on the Magical Trips Team affiliated with Trevello Travel Group Canada, assumes no liability for any direct or indirect loss, injury, or damage incurred by clients due to:

  • Force majeure 
  • Supplier error or failure 
  • Acts of government 
  • Airline or cruise disruptions 
  • Border closures 
  • Travel restrictions 
  • Delays or cancellations 

All travel is undertaken at the traveler’s own risk.
 

🌪️ Force Majeure Clause

We are not responsible for disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters 
  • Pandemics or outbreaks 
  • Political unrest 
  • Weather conditions 
  • Supplier bankruptcy or operational failure
     

These events may impact your travel plans with little or no warning, and clients are responsible for securing appropriate insurance and having contingency plans in place.


✔️ Agreement Acknowledgement

By submitting your Travel Request for us to confirm your reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
